Arapahoe Basin is an alpine ski area in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in Summit County off Loveland Pass. Arapahoe Basin is known for its extended season—usually staying open until early June, and sometimes into early July. Arapahoe Basin opened for its inaugural 1946-1947 season with just a rope tow.
